"iQual"

The series "iQual" emerged in the urgency to draw attention to racism and xenophobia, in all its forms and manifestations against the Human Being. Inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and based on the motto "the thought of the Human Being is inviolable", it led me to put on the skin of the "other", of the brother of species and to conclude that: "equality will exist when difference is recognized!"

The performance "iQuilibrium", took place for the first time on 25/06, 2016. A musical interpretation of the environments of the series through soundscapes and a poem.

Bitocas Fernandes - voice + objects. / Brian de Carvalho - trumpet. / Zetó Rodrigues - double bass. / Beatriz Portugal - 'diseur' of the poem "Asneira".
